Anil Lal

Senior Podiatrist

Anil graduated from the University of Brighton gaining a degree in Podiatry and is a member of the Royal College of Podiatry and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Anil is a competent and well liked, popular member of our team and is a huge favourite amongst our patients. His feedback and reviews are always fantastic. Anil enjoys podiatry and this shows with the level of enthusiasm and joys in which he performs his treatments which correlates with patient satisfaction and treatment outcomes.

Anil specialises in routine podiatry such as corn removal, hard skin and nail conditions, as well as treating verrucae. Anil is able to offer late evenings as well as day appointments.

Being a cycling enthusiast, Anil enjoys keeping fit by commuting on his bicycle. In his spare time he loves spending as much time with his family and baby daughter.

 

Ben Cassidy

Osteopath

Osteopath Ben Cassidy B.Ost, BaHons, PGCAP, DipSM graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 2017. He works in private practice in Whitstable and Strood, is part of the medical team at Canterbury Rugby Club, and holds a British & Irish Boxing Association Cutman Licence.

Ben teaches osteopathic technique at the European School of Osteopathy in Maidstone to osteopaths in training. Techniques taught include soft tissue work, joint articulation and manipulation. He also works overseas teaching technique to Danish and Russian physiotherapists.

With a 20-year history of corporate work in the city, he is well placed to recognise and treat the common, and less common, symptoms of work-related strains and stresses. A keen amateur sportsman, and qualified therapist, Ben has knowledge of sports-related injuries and can offer advice on technique, rehab and injury prevention. He also has a special interest in the treatment of arthritis and arthritic joints.

 

Alison Wood

Acupuncture

Alison studied for 5 years at the renowned International College of Oriental Medicine gaining a BSc (Hons) in Acupuncture. She is a fully certified member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC). Her training included both classical and contemporary acupuncture including Traditional Chinese Acupuncture (TCM), 5 Elements and Stems and Branches. All disciplines are incorporated within her practice with the principal aim to restore balance and health.

Alison also practices Facial Enhancement Acupuncture (FEA) which is safe and holistic approach to anti-ageing. FEA targets points and muscles on the face to improve the elasticity of the skin by increasing collagen to the face.  Alison is a member and registered practitioner of Cosmetic Acupuncture UK (CAUK) and Facial Enhance.

Prior to discovering acupuncture, Alison graduated with a BA (Hons) in French Studies.  She went on to work in the Asset Management sector for 12 years at which time she left the corporate world to be a full-time mum.

Alison’s interest and passion for Chinese Medicine arose through her own positive experience of acupuncture leading her to return to study and embark on a new career path which she believes will be a lifetime learning experience.
